Cookie Exchange RSVP

Hi Ladies,

All the flyers have been sent out. Thank you all for volunteering! We really do have the most fabulous ladies living in this development. Please add a comment to the post below if you plan on coming to the cookie exchange Monday night at 7pm.

So that we don't wind up eating all our cookies at the event I thought we should also do a sign up list for some snacks, drinks, etc. Also, if anyone can be there 15 minutes early to help set up the tables that would be great!

Cookie Exchange

Thank you to Renee Knox for creating the beautiful flyer for the Exchange!
Also, thank you to Sue Murphy for duplicating the flyer for distribution!

So we don't have a bunch of the same type of cookies, please leave a comment below with the type of cookies that you intend to make.

See you all there on the 17th!

First Meeting Re-cap

Thank you to all that made it out to the first meeting.

We started off by introducing ourselves. Some of us have been residents of Williamsburg for many years and some of us are new to the neighborhood. Some of us have young children, some of us have children in high school or getting ready to leave the house. Whatever our place in life, we all have the collective interest in getting to know each other better and in planning to get together with the women of the neighborhood more often.

We decided that the larger WOW group will continue to meet in the clubhouse on a monthly basis while a number of sub-groups will begin to meet monthly on their own schedule. The established groups include a babysitter group, a walking group, a community service group, a mommy and me group and a WOW night out group. Each of these groups will have a contact person to help facilitate gatherings and communication.

It was agreed that the December meeting of the WOW Group will be a Cookie Exchange. It was suggested that each person will bring 6 dozen cookies (all the same type) and will offer those cookies up to others who brought cookies. You will be able to take home with you the same amount of cookies that you brought with you. For example, if you brought six dozen, you take six dozen, if you brought 4 dozen you take home 4 dozen. Date will be forthcoming.

It was also decided that we would start a website and shared calendar to help facilitate communications and some other ideas like a group purchasing page and a for sale or trade page.  Those pages will be developed as the group progresses.

It was great to have everyone get together tonight.
